Obituary

On August 3, 1975, the world welcomed a true force of joy and exuberance in the form of Angela. Her infectious laughter, warm smile, and vibrant spirit would touch the lives of many, leaving a lasting impression on all who were fortunate enough to know her Sadly, on July 22, 2023, Angela embarked on her next grand adventure, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever remain etched in our hearts.

Angela was preceded in death by her father, Lewis Butch Allen, as well as her grandparents, Mr. Booker T. and Lucille Allen, and Mr. Richard T. and Luvina Folds. Their spirits undoubtedly welcomed her with open arms, as

Angela always held a special place in her heart for her family.

She leaves behind a trail of love and laughter, forever imprinted on the hearts of those she loved and those who loved her.

Survived by her beloved mother, Shirley Ann Allen, Angela's family circle extended to include her sisters, Carol Denise Allen, Tamiri Ahset Allen, and Cynthia Colquitt. Angela took pride in being called auntie by Alanzo Respress Jr., and she shared an unbreakable bond with her best friend, Nya Parks Williams.

The love within her family knew no bounds, extending to her aunts and uncles: Darlene Colquitt, Mary Folds, Virginia Folds, Larry Allen, Buddy Allen, Kenneth Folds, and Robert Moreland.

Angela was an advocate for sisterhood, celebrating friendships with the Silver Divas - Rosa Goddard, Else Fullwood, and Dorthy Anderson, as well as the Suhs (Sisters in Love) - Yolanda Johnson, Quenzetta Howard, Chasity Parker, and Akia Williams

Angela was not only passionate about her family and friends but also dedicated herself to education and career pursuits.

Graduating from Griffin High School's Class of 93, she embodied a spirit of perseverance. Pursuing higher education, Angela attended Southern Crescent Technical College with dreams of obtaining a Criminal Justice Degree. Alongside her academic endeavors, she was an invaluable employee at BrightMoor Nursing Center for 20 years and found fulfillment in her most current role at Martha K. Glaze Regional Juvenile Detention.

Moreover, her entrepreneurial spirit shined brightly as the proud owner of Exclusive Catering. A woman of many passions and interests. Angela was a true Renaissance soul. Her culinary skills delighted all who tasted her dishes, her artistic flair adorned life with beauty, and her knack for decorating created welcoming and breathtaking spaces. Never one to shy away from style, Angela had a flair for fashion that made her stand out in a crowd. When it came to entertainment, she was the life of the party, and her infectious spirit brought smiles to all around her.

Angela had a beautiful voice and could bless vou with a song. Not to mention, her hopeful spirit had her trying her luck at playing the lottery, always dreaming of what shed do if she hit the jackpot.

Her heart was devoted to her community, and Angela served as a youth ministry leader at Haven Chapel United Methodist Church. Her impact on the lives of those she mentored through the dance ministry will carry on through the wears, as she instilled values of compassion and love

As we come together to celebrate Angela's life, let us remember her not with tears of sorrow but with laughter and fond memories. She lived life to the fullest, embracing every moment with an unwavering spirit that encouraged us all to do the same. Angela's legacy lives on through the love she shared, the joy she brought, and the inspiration she instilled. As Angela would have wanted, let's pay tribute to her exuberant spirit. Let us gather to commemorate her life in the most fitting way - with love, laughter, and a celebration of the beautiful soul that was Angela, because in her words. "that's just the bottom line.
