Mrs. Annie Catherine Sanders departed this life, Tuesday, August 29, 2023. She was born on November 5,1945 to the late Jimmie and Emma Lou Prather. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Lee Sanders, Jr., four sisters Mary Etta Barkley, Mary Helen Gibbs, Rosa Lee Moore, and Clara Prather, and three brothers Clarence Prather, Willie Prather, Sr., and Jimmy Prather.

Annie was a graduate of Fairmont High School class of 1964.

Annie was a member of the Fairmount High School Girls Track Team 1963-1964. At an early age she joined Corinth Baptist Church. After relocating to Atlanta, Georgia, she joined Ebenezer Baptist Church where she was a member of the Ebenezer Mass Choir. Annie worked as a beautician and also worked retail at Davidson which is now known as Macy's.

Annie is survived by her loving son Arthur Lee Sanders, III of Atlanta Georgia, two sisters Annie Ruth Underwood of Hampton, Georgia and Opal Hollis (Leon) of Griffin, Georgia, two brothers J. W. Prather (Shirley) of Kissimmee, Florida, and James Prather of Griffin, GA, two aunts Bessie M. Richardson, and Earline Davis both of Griffin, GA, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and special friends.
