Catherine Jane Smith was one of 13 children born on April 1, 1958, to the late Eugene Smith, Sr. and the late Eddie Lee Smith.

She attended Roosevelt Warm Spring in Warm Spring, GA.

Upon leaving there, she attended Kay Community Service Center in Fort Valley, GA.

Catherine was a loving person who enjoyed listening to music, dancing, and spending time with family. She was a caring and free-spirited young woman that touched the lives of everyone she came in contact with. To know Cat was to love her. She truly loved being around her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two siblings, Luvenia Smith and Eugene Smith, Jr.

On January 22, 2024, while a patient at the Atrium Health Navicent Hospice Pine Pointe in Macon, GA, Catherine entered into her eternal rest.

She leaves to mourn her passing and cherished memories; seven sisters, Eddie L. Rumph, Patricia D. Harris, Jacqueline Ross, Doretha E. Smith, Carla D. Smith, Deidre D. Dollar and Tracy P. Johnson (Glenn); three brothers, Roberts L. Smith (Clara), Jimmy L. Smith and Ronnie Smith; aunt, Ruthie L.

Smith; a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
