A time to be born…

Mrs. Evelyn Ann Moreland was born October 03, 1959, to the late Mr. Richard and Luvina Folds, in Griffin, Georgia.

A time to plant…

Dook was educated in the public school system of Griffin-Spalding County.

A time to weep…

Dook was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. Richard and Luvina Folds, her youngest son, Daunte Moreland, her siblings, Mr. Richard Folds, Jr. and Mr. Morris Folds, and her bonus sister, Ms. Gwen Carson.

A time to build…

Dook accepted the Lord as her Savior at an early age. Also, in building her life she was united to Mr. Robert Moreland, of Pike County in 1987. On a Sunday, after church and after their wedding "Cookie", as Robert called her, went to work.

A time gather stones…

Dook was employed at Dundee #1, Lowers Bleachery South, and Spalding Knitting Mill. Dook later became a CNA where she worked for Westbury Health and Rehab for over 20 years and an additional 5 years at Brightmoor Nursing Center.

She loved cooking, her family, being crafty, peach and strawberry picking, and playing games on her tablet. She also enjoyed going to Myrtle Beach and attending church. Later in life Dook begin to enjoy getting her nails done. If you knew Dook she loved sweets, but German Chocolate was her favorite.

A time to weep…

Dook was courageous and strong as she battled many things in life. She fought the good fight and kept her faith in God. On December 28, 2022, Dook took her rest from her labor on earth and gained heavenly reward with Christ Jesus.

A time to mourn…

Dook is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 35 years, Mr. Robert Moreland. Her children, Mr. Keith (Josh) Folds, and Ms. Shante (Tony) Moreland. She also leaves behind a legacy with her grandchildren whom she loved and cared for dearly and raised like her own; Kesiree Thomas, Keindra Thomas, Lashayia Johnson, Janiya Pikes, Keith Folds, Jr., Kamya Pikes, Kai Folds, Anthony Brogdon, Ayden Moreland. Siblings, Shirley Allen, Mary Folds, Darlene Colquitt, and Kenneth Folds. A loving mother-in-law; Ms. Annie Moreland. Brother-in-law, Reginald (Tammy) Moreland; Sister in laws, Linda(Chris) McGill, Sheila Bass, Virginia Folds, and a bonus brother, Wayne Peterson. Dook also leaves behind "The Crew", a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and additional family and friends.
