Our beloved, Georgia Ann Johnson, was a sweet and beautiful soul born to the parentage of the late Mr.Oscar Johnson and the late Mrs. Lorine McDowell on July 18, 1949. She was a good, faithful, and dedicated servant of God. On May 17, 2022, God called his beloved daughter home. After attending school in Jackson, Georgia began her life as a caring mother, wife, and caretaker of so many. Georgia's passion for service led her to becoming a seamstress and caretaker. She would later marry her husband Mr. Revail Johnson on June 5, 1975, and they would begin their 47-year marriage together. Georgia and Revail had five children together- Betty (Carlton) Watts, Cassandra (Christopher) Lockhart,Rebic Stephen,Richard Johnson, and James Childers.Georgia had a great passion for others, and she was always dedicated to ways that she could help others through the love of Christ. Georgia touched the lives of so many near and far. She had such a calming spirit that could calm a storm with a simple whisper. She was a dedicated member of the Rising Star Missionary church of Jackson, Ga where she served on the mother board for many years. Later in Life Georgia also attended Eighth Street Baptist Church of Griffin, Ga where she was also a dedicated member and touched so many lives through her service. Georgia's love for others was contagious and inspired others to strive to love the same.Georgia was very passionate about her family and loved the so much! Georgia was so big on family and her husband, kids, grand-kids, ad great grand kids were her pride and joy. She was big on family dinners, holidays, and family trips. Georgia loved spending time with her grand kids and great grand kids whom she treated just like her own kids! Georgia through the years was remembered for her dedication to making sure that so many kids and adults had a way to the church house to serve God! Georgia loved to travel, crochet,sew, decorate, and assemble flower arrangements.Georgia was also a local Avon sales rep for many years that serviced so many in the community and touched so many lives and developed so many friendships through her work. She was a dedicated friend, sister, aunt, and cousin. Georgia was a strong believer in her faith,and she touched so many lives on her earthly walk. Georgia is survived by her husband: Revail Johnson; Children: Betty (Carlton) Watts of Griffin, Ga, Cassandra (Christopher) Lockahart of Griffin, Ga, Rebic Stephens of Griffin, Ga; Grandchildren: Carldreka Watts of Griffin, Ga, Raven Ogletree of Griffin, Ga, Cardarius Watts of Atlanta, Ga, Eric Ogletree Jr. of Griffin, Ga; Great-Grandchildren: Niaja Bridges,Gracelyn Jones,Jurnee Jones,Toya Stephen,Renechia Stephens; Siblings: Denise (Carl) Braswell, Ernestine Moore, Lillie Ruth (Tannie) Johnson, Darlene Johnson, Willie (Teresa) Johnson, Ricky (Tonya) Johnson,Antonio Laster, Bobby (Ramona) Johnson;And a host of aunts, uncles,nieces,nephews,cousins,and friends.
