A beloved husband, son, father, grandfather, brother, nephew, uncle, cousin, and friend. G.W. Relthford, Jr. departed this world unexpectedly at 64, on January 2, 2022. Born in Griffin, Georgia on January 26, 1957 to Ms. Willa Sims Relthford and the late Mr. G.W. Relthford, Sr.

He joined Towaliga Baptist Church in Jackson, GA at an early age. He was a graduate of Griffin High School and attended Clayton State University. After employed for 38 years with International Paper, Inc., Forest Park, GA, he retired due to sudden illnesses. During his employment there, he was a supervisor and served on the company's Bowling Team.

G.W. was a lover of motorcycles, fixing automobiles, and listening to gospel music. He was a faithful member of Stack'em Tite Ryderz Motorcycle Club, Black Spiders, Wrist Breakers and Golden Ten.

G.W. was married to a faithful caregiver, Michelle L. Johnson-Relthford for 26 years. As God would have them to be the proud parents of George (Marie) Relthford, Carrollton, Ga.; Natasha (Jason) Gilbert, A'sha Willis, Garrick Relthford; Nakia Relthford, Ja'Naya Relthford all of Griffin, and the late Christopher Relthford. GW leaves behind a loving mother: Ms. Willa Sims Relthford; a brother: Rick (Louise) Relthford; sisters and brothers-in-law: Teresa (Thomas) Coggins, Calvert (Barbara) Johnson, Quintina (Tommy) Smith, Fernando Jordan, Patrice Lewis, Jarvis (Kauchia) Lewis, Derrick Lewis, and Travis Calloway; father-in-law: Jimmy Lee Calloway; a special cousin-in-law and dedicated nurse, Crystal Jones; close friends: Emmett Brice, Culloden, Ga; Brad Brown, Pamplico, SC; and Dennis (Donnifer) Davis; special nieces-in-law: Jasmine Coggins, TX and Sydnee Coggins, Columbus, GA. In addition, he leaves to cherish his memory to 20 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, several other relatives, and friends.
