IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Jaxon
Skelton
November 15, 2013 – January 6, 2026
A Short Life, A Big Love
Let the little children come to me, as Jaxon "Jax" Montel Skelton was born to the parents of Martesha Nicole Thompson and Javon Ramar Skelton on November 15, 2013, in Thomaston, Georgia.
Jaxon was a beloved and popular 6th-grade student at Upson-Lee Middle School, where his bright spirit, warm personality, and genuine love for others shined daily. He had a true passion for sports and was an avid Knights fan who proudly supported his school. Jaxon enjoyed being involved in many extracurricular activities and could often be found on the sidelines encouraging others. He was affectionately known as the unofficial coach for the Upson-Lee Knights Varsity football team, always eager to motivate, uplift, and be part of something bigger than himself.
Jax lived boldly, loved deeply, and brought light, laughter, and unforgettable energy into every space he entered. He was a young man of many talents, but his greatest passion was football. He proudly played as a member of the 11U Knights, where his love for the game, team spirit, and natural leadership were evident to everyone around him. Football wasn't just a sport to Jax; it was a place where he felt connected, confident, and alive. His favorite teams were Jacksonville Jaguars, Ohio State and his beloved Upson-Lee Knights.
He had an outgoing, magnetic spirit, and if you ever had a conversation with him, you'd quickly realize you were speaking with someone wise beyond his years. Jax truly had an old soul, and people were often amazed by the insight, honesty, and humor in the things he would say. He never met a stranger and greeted everyone with a smile, a hug, and genuine warmth. And one thing was certain if Jaxon knew something, he was absolutely going to tell it.
Jaxon loved his older brother and was his biggest fan and would let his little sister beat him up at any time.
He loved to spend money, "put it on", ride whether it was a bike, four-wheeler, dirt bike, scooter and would even drive your car if you let him.
His adventurous spirit, confidence, and joy for life left a lasting impression on everyone he encountered.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Kemyelene Thompson; great grandfathers, Barnet Harris, Roosevelt Holmes, Deleyman Thompson and Robert Elliott Walker, great grandmother Vesterine Skelton, great great grandmother Lila Mae Woodard-Davis (Granny) and a very special great aunt Barbara Whitehead.
