Obituary

John 14:1 "Let not your heart be troubled."

Jessie Victoria Flynt Thrash, known to affectionately go by "Vicky" to all of her family and friends, and "mama" to her kids, passed away on March 12, 2024. Vicky, first a loving daughter, sister, and forever a loving mother, was cherished, loved, and adored by so many. She brought boundless love, joy, support, and warmth to the lives of everyone around her.

She was born on December 14, 1952, to Mr. Willie Flynt and the late Mrs. Nettie Eunice King in Barnesville, Georgia. Vicky was the second born and only daughter and because of this she was fiercely protected. Her mother even delayed her brother from starting school so they could start and finish together. She attended the public school system in Barnesville, graduating from Lamar County High School in 1971.

Vicky was proceeded in death by her grandparents who helped raise her, Mr. Otis and Mrs. Jessie Hickman; mother, Mrs. Nettie King; and big brother, Mr. Willie C. Flynt.

Vicky accepted the Lord as her Savior at a young age at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church where

Reverend Page was the pastor.

Vicky was employed with Thomaston Mills for a length of time, then Dundee Mills until she medically retired in 1999 and then dedicated her time to spending with her kids and helped to raise her grandkids. She enjoyed going to church, playing the lottery, and online shopping.

Vicky was a beacon of love and kindness, always putting the needs of others before her own. Her nurturing nature made her a natural caregiver and she embraced her role as mother with unwavering dedication. She provided infinite love and support to her children, instilling in them values of compassion, resilience, and determination.

Vicky is survived by: her father, Mr. Willie Flynt of West Palm Beach, Florida; her loving and devoted children, Mr. Raymond Thrash (Raymond Jr, Zatoria, Rayuana, Xavier, and Jarmarian) of Barnesville, GA, Ms. Quetella Beattie (Chiquita) of Loganville, GA, Mrs.

Dimescha (Keith) Daniel (Dejha, Xiann, and Christian) of Griffin, GA, and the baby of the bunch, Mrs. Cortese (Alex) Walker (Zoee and Nyla) of Kathleen, GA. Vicky was so proud of her expanding family. She also has ten great-grand kids. Vicky also is survived by her three brothers, Willie, Raymond, and Norman Flynt. She also leaves to cherish: a special aunt that loved her like a daughter, Beatrice Daniely and a loving uncle, Otis Hickman. And although Vicky was not given a sister by birth, she was blessed to have a sister-in-love, Mrs. Dorothy Flynt and all of her first cousins who were her sisters as well.

She leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends that will all miss her dearly.
