REFLECTION OF LIFE

Lillie Onedia Dodson was born to Mr. Melvin James Dodson, Sr and Mrs. Mira Blaine Williams-Dodson on September 7, 1969. Her roots were planted in Spalding County, Georgia.

Growing up as a kid, she had a mothering spirit that traveled with her into adulthood. Many considered her their adopted mother, as she did not hesitate to invite them into her garden and give them the nourishment their souls needed. She planted an innumerable amount of seeds and shined her light on the lives of those she loved. Many knew her to be a small but mighty presence with a heart bigger than two hands can hold. Her love for life was one that was unmatched. On any day you could find her dancing and making those around her laugh with her impeccable comedic timing.

She flourished at Smith High School and graduated in 1987.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. Melvin James Dodson, Sr and Mrs. Mira Elaine Williams-Dodson, and her brother Melvin

James Dodson, Jr.

She leaves behind a legacy of loved ones who include two daughters:

Ms. Tikira Mikell Thurman and Ms. Shandrea Inez Thurman all of Atlanta, Georgia. One beloved friend: Mr. Rodney Eric Thurman (Mrs. Jacqueline Thurman) of Kings Mountain, North Carolina; Six grandchildren Ms. Jaliyah Thurman, Mr. Na'javious Thurman, Ms.

Kalala Thurman, Ms. Mariyah Thurman, Mr. Ja'Keylan Burton, and Mr. Galaxy Thurman; two sisters: Ms. Phyllis Marie Dodson and Ms.

Kinyatta Rashea Dodson, and one sister-in-law Wykecia Burns all of Atlanta, Georgia. She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, cousins, other relatives and friends. Through these people her roots will forever run deep.
