Obituary

Marshall Leon Lind was born on November 5, 1943, to his beloved parents, Marshall Lind and Emma Lou Born. From the very beginning, his life was marked by love, kindness, and a heart for family.

On November 1, 2024, at the age of 80, Marshall passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family and friends who cherished him deeply. A man of warmth and joy, Marshall's life was a testament to love, devotion, and the beauty of simple pleasures.

He is now reunited in eternity with those who went before him: his father, Marshall Lind; his mother, Emma Lou Born; his brother, Lamar Lind; and his cherished daughter, Mary Jane Lind.

Marshall's memory lives on through those who were blessed to call him their own: his devoted wife, Nancy Gravitt Lind; his loving children, Leona King and Johnny Lind; his eight adored grandchildren; nine treasured great-grandchildren; his brother Larry (Joyce) Lind; and several dear nieces and nephews.

For 33 years, Marshall worked faithfully at the Ford Motor Company Assembly Plant in Hapeville, Georgia, exemplifying commitment and dedication. Beyond his career, he found his greatest joys in life through his hobbies and, most importantly, his family. Whether hunting, fishing, boating, water skiing, or playing cards, Marshall always brought laughter and love to every moment.

A true family man, Marshall's happiest times were spent surrounded by his loved ones. There wasn't a child or dog that didn't love him. He was often found riding the kids on his four-wheeler, playing on the floor with his grandchildren, or simply sharing his kind heart with everyone he met.

Marshall's legacy of love and devotion will forever be etched in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. Though he is no longer with us, his spirit lives on in the countless joyful memories he created.

"Though your smile is gone forever, and your hand we cannot touch,

Still, we have so many memories of the one we loved so much.

Your memory is our keepsake, with which we'll never part.

God has you in His keeping, we have you in our hearts."

A limb has fallen from the family tree.

I keep hearing a voice that says, "Grieve not for me.

Remember the best times, the laughter, the song.

The good life I lived while I was strong.

Continue & my heritage, I'm counting on you.

Keep smiling and surely the sun will shine through.

My mind is at ease, l my soul is at rest.

Remembering all, how I truly was blessed.

Continue traditions, no matter how small.

Go on with your life, don't worry about falls.

I miss you all dearly, so keep up your chin.

Until the day comes, we're together again."

Prayer For a New Week

Dear Lord, thank you for this day. I want to start out this new week, praising you for who you are and thanking you for all you do. I am grateful for your hand than guides and protects me and for the hope I have in you. May I bring you glory and honor in all that I say and do this week. May people see you in me and may your love flow through me and overflow onto all who I meet. Please bless me Lord, so I can bless others. In the name of Jesus, I ask these things. Amen!
