Mrs. Mattie Vera Dorsey was born December 14, 1934, to the late Mr. Willie Lewis Baitey and Mattie Ruth Baitey in Fayetteville, Georgia.

A TIME TO PLANT.

Vera was educated in the public school system of Fayette County, Georgia. She was educated at a church that she attended for school. She was united in holy matrimony in 1952 to Willie Junior Dorsey. They were happily married for over 60 years.

They had 5 loving children together.

A TIME TO WEEP...

Vera was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. Willie Lewis and Mattie Ruth Bait-ey; children, Willie Henry, Rickey, and Ronald Eugene Dorsey; and 12 siblings.

A TIME TO BUILD...

Vera accepted the Lord as her Savior and she was in fellowship with the Flat Rock

AME Church in Fayetteville, Georgia.

A TIME GATHER STONES...

Vera was employed at the Fayette County School System, where she served as a custodian for 15+ years. She was a big-time fisher and loved to cook. Vera most of all loved and enioved her family and friends.

A TIME TO WEEP

Vera was courageous and strong as she battled many things in life. She fought the good fight and kept the faith in God. On January 29, 2023, Vera took her rest from her labor on earth and gained heavenly reward with Christ Jesus.

A TIME TO MOURN.

Vera is survived by her loving and devoted children, Mrs. Patricia (Robert) Allen, Ms. Margrette Dorsey-Smith, siblings, Samuel Baitey, and Gloria John) Neely; daughters-in-laws, Judy Ann Dorsey ,and Monalesa Dorsey; grandchildren, Leticia, Ricardo, Anitra, Martell (Markita), and Marquell Dorsey; 15 great grandchildren, and a host of special nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
