Obituary

On December 8, 1967, Victor Everhart was born in Grifin Spalding County to Shirley Everhart and James Gardner, Jr. Victor was educated in the Griffin Spalding County school system and graduated from

School in 1986. After graduation, he enlisted and served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He also attended Southern Crescent Technical College and High-Tech Institute.

Victor's love for Christ and music led him to join the Eighth Street Baptist Church at the age of eight years old. He was actively involved in the Youth Choir, Sunday School, and other youth activities. He had a beautiful tenor voice, loved quartet singing, and could play the drums. Victor later joined Breakthrough Church International and accepted his call to ministry under Bishop Michael Lawrence.

Victor was a joy to be around. He could make you laugh, cry, sing, and dance. He had a special love for children, and to know him was to love him. He was a "jack of all trades." His hobbies included fishing, writing poetry and sermons, karaoke, dancing, singing, and enjoying life. Precious memories will always linger in the hearts of those who knew and loved "V-Love."

He was preceded in death by his beloved Big Mama, Pearl Everhart; grandfather, James Gardner, Sr.; father, James Gardner, Jr.; aunt,

Elizine Copeland; uncle, Howard

Everhart; and great-aunts, Hattie Whatley, Gladys Williams, Mattie Sue Nash, and Jennie Mae Smith.

Survivors include his mother, Minister Shirley E. Gardner; sisters, Ingra (Matthew) Parks, Pearla (Jimmy) Hodo, Sharon (Victor Cheves) Ellis, Tracy (Steven) Reaves, Tarji (Bobby) Beatty, and Kimberly, Justine, and Jenifer Gardner; and many nieces, cousins, and friends, including brothers at heart, Douglas Berry, Uncle Abdul Salaam, Marcus Parks, Johnny Milner, Greg Scott, and Pastor Raphael Hodo. He held a special place in his heart for his "Chipmunk", Curtis Lemon.

We will forever cherish the love and precious memories of our beloved Victor Ricardo Everhart.

Always Faithful "Semper Fi".
